12th RECOLETO CAMPUS MINISTRY SUMMER INSTITUTE (ReCamSI)

Delegates from UNO-R Bacolod, UNO-R Talisay, SSC-R Cavite, SSC-R Canlubang, CST-R San Carlos City, SPA-R Negros Occidental, USJ-R Cebu and USJ-R Basak Campus trooped down to SSC-R Manila to attend the 12th Recoletos Campus Ministry Summer institute on April 24-28, 2007. Participants were accorded with the Opening Program held at the HRM Coffee Shop where Fr. Dionisio C.Cachero welcomed them with the opening remarks. Fr. Cris Palomar introduced the delegates while Fr. Lauro V. Larlar delivered the keynote address centering on the topic “Beyond Recoletos 400: What Then… New Directions of the Campus Ministry”. The first day session ended with the Eucharistic Celebration officiated by Fr. Larlar.

Day 2 had Bishop Broderick s. Pabillo, D.D. lecturing on the topic “ The Church Speaks: Campus Ministry Sharing the Mission of Jesus”. In the afternoon, Fr. Raul Buhay, SEAP Presidnet and UNO-R VP- Academics talked about “OAR Campus Ministry Mission-Vision and RECAMSI Goals and Objectives”. This was followed later by the presentation of Recoleto Core Values by Dr. Rod Ponce, Jr. Prior to the group’s trip to Chinatown, Fr. Raul Buhay officiated the Eucharistic Celebration.

Day 3 situated the delegates in the Seminar Room with highlights on “Presentation of the Rationale for the Formulation of RECAMSI Primer/Guidelines” led by Fr. Lauro V. Larlar as speaker and moderator. This was followed by the discussion on RECAMSI issues and concerns, and a productive workshop. Fr. Cris provided the synthesis after the presentation of the workshop results. The workshoppers were then treated to the Mall of Asia for a shopping spree after dinner.

Day 4 was allotted for the mass and a much-needed out-of-town fun and refreshing dip in swimming pools of Laguna while day 5 sent participants home after the mass and breakfast.

The project was organized by the SEAP in close coordination with the Province of St. Ezekiel Moreno.
