TOURISM INDUSTRY PRACTICES (PRACTICUM)

During the practicum, the students are assigned to participating tourism establishments such as hotels, motels and other accommodation establishments, resorts, travel and tour agencies, airline companies, convention organizers, and tourism organizations like DOT, PCUC, PTA where they are given actual work experience in various aspects of tourism industry.

Practicum is offered on the last semester of fourth year. The students have to complete 300 hours of training prior to practicum proper. Students must complete first their academic units for them to better appreciate the work situations. They
will be exposed to different rudiments of tourism industry in which they can assimilate the skills and knowledge acquired from the program.
